Club Members Read the Amateur Code
The Atlanta Rabbits Amateur Radio Club had the honor of reading the Amateur Code, originally written in 1928 by Paul M. Segal W9EEA, on the 3.916MHz Tailgaters Net on Sunday, August 9, 2015.
The Amateur's Code is read nightly on 3.916 MHz in memory of Jim Day, K4LTD (sk). Jim suggested they read the code as a reminder of the importance of being the 'best of the best' on 3.916. Because of members like Jim and Ken Odom W4FCW (sk), 3.916MHz is the frequency where all are welcome!
Cody KG5HGA, Bubba KG5HFZ, and Kyle Wayne KG5HFY had the opportunity to read the Amateur Code on 3916Khz. They operated under the club call sign, KA5AHS.
